Jackie was born at Fort Jackson, SC and was blessed to be able to travel to Germany twice and Japan as well as Fort Meade, Maryland during her Dad's military service. When her Dad retired, he became a Southern Baptist Pastor.

Jackie is married to a United Methodist Pastor. They have three children, six grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. Their home is controlled by two dogs (a Great Pyrenees and a Yorki-Poo) and 2 cats. Her hobbies include playing with the grandchildren, knitting, crocheting, making jewelry and traveling, particularly to lighthouses.

Her favorite scripture is Philippians 4:13, "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me."
