 Our Mission Minimize

Why are we here?

We believe that Scripture teaches that we are here to glorify God through our lives and through the ministry of the church.

How do we do that?

Through the example of the New Testament church (and throughout Scripture), we find that we best fulfill our purpose of glorifying God through following five objectives - what we call being a well-WIRED church (and Christian):

Worshiping God

Implementing God's Word in our lives

Relationship building and loving others

Expressing our faith

Demonstrative service

It's only as we keep our focus on our purpose - glorifying God - and building on the above five objectives - WIRED - do we grow, impact peoples lives, and become the people God created us to be.

 Welcome! Minimize

Greetings in the name of Christ Jesus.  We are happy you have chosen to visit our website.  Please explore our site to learn about the people who make up Good Samaritan United Methodist Church.  Good Samaritan United Methodist Church is a fellowship of believers who come together to worship and seek guidance from a most loving and gracious God.

You are loved.  You're probably familiar with the John 3:16, or at least maybe you've seen it at a sign at a sporting event.  It says "For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life."  The next verse continues "For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him."  You see, God's forgiveness is bigger than all of your sins.  It is our desire to help you on your journey in loving God, loving self, and loving others (Matthew 22:37-40).

A special invitation. If you are looking for a place that will accept you where you are in your journey of faith; a place that is friendly, warm, and loving; a place where you can ask questions, learn about Christ, and find encouragement; then we invite you to visit Good Samaritan:

A place of Discovery and a place to Belong!

 Evening Bible Study Minimize

Beginning August 21, Thursday at 7:00 PM Pastor Jim will be leading a Discussion - Bible Study using the the book Discover Your windows: Lining Up With God's Vision by Kent Hunter.  We will look at the windows through which we see the world and the church and how that "view" impacts us in the way we live in the world and function as a church. A copy of the book can be purcahsed from the church. This study will run for about 10 weeks.
